We’re not here to sell you on points and miles. You already have them.
Most people who reach out to us aren’t beginners chasing their first credit card sign-up bonus. They’re people who have been collecting airline miles and credit card points for years — sometimes without even meaning to — and have no idea what to actually do with them.
That’s the gap The Reward Lab exists to close.
How this started
It started with a single flight.
Our founder, Harsh Bansal, booked an Emirates First Class seat — an experience with an approximate cash value of $18,000 — using points he didn’t even realize he had access to. Not by memorizing every airline alliance or every loyalty program, but by understanding a system: how alliances and loyalty programs connect, how transferable credit card points create options, and how to verify an award is real before committing anything.
The flight itself wasn’t the interesting part. What was interesting was how often people asked the same question afterward: “How did you do that?”
The answer, almost every time, wasn’t that they were missing points. It was that they were missing a system.
What we do
We work two ways, depending on how hands-on you want to be:
Learn it yourself. The Award Travel Playbook is a quick-read guide to the actual mechanics of award travel — alliances, transferable points, searching for availability, and verifying a seat before you transfer anything. It won’t make you memorize every program. It’ll teach you what to look for.
Skip the research. If you’d rather not spend hours comparing loyalty programs yourself, our Award Flight Search service does it for you. Tell us your trip and the points you have available, and we’ll send back a clear, written report with exactly what to book and how.
Who we’re for
People who’ve been earning points for years without a real plan for them. People who want a specific answer, not a hundred blog posts. People who’d rather fly further for less — or fly better for the same — than let points sit unused.
That’s what The Reward Lab is for.
